Youth

Youth is at the heart of EU cooperation with its Eastern partners. The EU promotes youth skills development and employability, education and training, and supports youth engagement in civic, cultural, academic and professional exchanges. Through its EU4Youth programme, the EU is dedicated to developing youth leadership and entrepreneurship through a variety of actions, including capacity building, fellowships, support to policy dialogue, as well as providing grants to organisations active in these areas.

KEY PROJECTS

EU4Youth Coordination and Support

This project aims at ensuring the effective functioning of EU4Youth, its alignment with relevant policy dialogues, actions and other programmes, as well as the creation of synergies with other programmes for mutual reinforcement and avoiding duplications.

Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship

This project takes a regional approach to activities focused on youth employment and job placement in the Eastern Partnership countries. Key components include skills development, cooperation between public authorities, informing and raising awareness of young people on decent work standards and working towards validation of skills.

EU4Youth Alumni Network

The EU4Youth Alumni network brings together young beneficiaries of the EU4Youth, Erasmus+ Youth in Action and European Solidarity Corps programmes, and the network of Young European Ambassadors from the Eastern partner countries.

EU4YOUTH ALUMNI NETWORK

Be it Erasmus+, European Solidarity Corps, Young European Ambassadors or any other EU-funded initiative for young people in the Eastern Partnership, every year hundreds of graduates bring new experiences and skills back to their communities – and many want to do more, especially to support those with fewer opportunities. But figuring out on your own what you can do next can be a real challenge. This is why the EU4Youth Alumni Network was created.

This website is managed by the EU-funded Regional Communication Programme for the Eastern Neighbourhood ('EU NEIGHBOURS east’), which complements and supports the communication of the Delegations of the European Union in the Eastern partner countries, and works under the guidance of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, and the European External Action Service. EU NEIGHBOURS east is implemented by a GOPA PACE-led consortium. It is part of the larger Neighbourhood Communication Programme (2020-2024) for the EU's Eastern and Southern Neighbourhood, which also includes 'EU NEIGHBOURS south’ project that runs the EU Neighbours portal.
